All the wait staff is trained to understand every detail about each item on the menu. You can also order side dishes and salads to taste, perhaps omitting a particular ingredient or asking for a bit more of particular spices.
If you’re driving to Al Biernat’s, you’ll find valet parking is available, a very convenient service. Plan ahead to wear dressy outfits (casual clothes are a no-no) and expect to pay between $31 to $60 per person.
With those prices, Al Biernat’s is perfect for a romantic date or special occasion dinner. Of course, you will definitely impress business clients if you bring them here to dine.
It isn’t unusual to find celebs at Al Biernat’s, either. Gwyneth Paltrow and Jon Bon Jovi have both dined at Al Biernat’s. Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have also been sighted here.
Don’t expect to find a traditional steakhouse atmosphere here. Instead, you’ll enter into a space with vaulted ceilings and domed bar. A cozy, rose-tinted glow provides a warm and friendly touch.
The restaurant’s menu is focused on adult tastes, however, and isn’t particularly recommended for children. If you want to be sure to get a seat, be sure to make reservations ahead of time. On weekends, prepare for things to get a bit noisy, especially at peak dinner hours.
When it comes to a variety of custom-ordered meals, you can choose from the familiar to the more unusual at Al Biernat’s. If you’re a meat lover, you’ll find both standard steaks as well as unique choices on the menu.
With Veal Osso Bucco, Elk Filet and other unique cuts of meat, you can decide if you want to go for the superb steaks, always delicious and prepared to perfection, or try something out of the ordinary.
There is a very extensive wine list at Al Biernat’s. If you’re not sure what to order, be sure and ask your waiter. Just as with the main and side courses, the wait staff knows which wines will complement your particular meal. If you’d prefer to drink something other than wine, try a Martini, reputed to be among the best you’ll find in Dallas.
The seafood is also noteworthy and gets plenty of raves. Unique seafood selections include Seared Salmon with Artichoke Stuffed Ravioli or Crab and Corn Chowder.
Be sure to leave room for dessert because each delectable choice is superb. Perhaps you’ll choose a Grand Marnier Creme Brulee or Peanut Butter Banana Cream Pie.
Al Biernat’s is open for lunch from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm, Mondays through Fridays. Lunch is served during the same hours on Sunday but the restaurant is only open for dinner on Saturdays.
