Looking for a way to avoid the hassle of driving to Dallas-Fort Worth Airport without paying a fortune for private transportation? Consider one of the DFW Airport shuttle services, an economical alternative to on-site parking and private transportation.
City Shuttle, GO Yellow Checker Shuttle and Super Shuttle DFW all provide door-to-door airport transport services from Dallas, Fort Worth and most places in the Metroplex. These shared shuttle services are more convenient than DFW airport parking, and if you’ll be out of town for a week or more, the shuttle service typically costs less.
These airport shuttle services all feature advanced, online reservations and pre-payment, helping to take the hassle out of getting to and from DFW. With shuttles that comfortably seat up to ten people, you’ll share a ride with folks heading in your general direction, and still enjoy the benefits of door-to-door service.
The Super Shuttle shared ride van from downtown Dallas is $27 for the first guest, and then $8 for each additional guest in your party. From downtown Fort Worth, rates start at $33 for the first guest, and each additional guest is $8.
GO Yellow Checker Shuttle from downtown Dallas is $24 for the first guest, and then $12 for the second guest. They also offer a frequent rider program and an online discount coupon good for $2 off a round-trip fare. If you are in Dallas for a corporate event, be sure to check the GO Yellow Checker Shuttle website (http://www.yellowcheckershuttle.com/discounts.html) for special corporate discounts of up to 50% off.
City Shuttle rates from both downtown Dallas and downtown Forth Worth start at $17 per person. The second passenger also costs $17.
All shared DFW Airport shuttle services pick up outside the lower level baggage claim. When you walk out of baggage claim, you’ll see a large sign directing you to the hotel and shared shuttle service stop.
If you’re heading downtown during rush hour and don’t have a lot of luggage, however, you may wish to take the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) train rather than a shuttle service. For only $2.50, you’ll get a speedy trip straight to Union Station (by way of Medical/Market Center, South Irving, West Irving, Hurst/Bell, Richland Hills, ITC and T&P stops) where you can grab a cab to your final destination.
If you’re staying at a hotel in the DFW Metroplex, ask your hotel if they offer complimentary or discounted airport shuttle service. Many chain hotels such as Best Western, Hilton, Holiday Inn, Marriot and Westin offer complimentary service.
If you arrive at DFW and are not sure if your hotel provides shuttle service, check the full hotel listing located on the “Ground Transportation” information boards near baggage claim inside all terminals. You can then use the courtesy phone to dial a two or three-digit code for your hotel to request pick up service. You’ll be picked up outside baggage claim at the lower level of each terminal.
