Hotel Zaza Dallas

The Hotel Zaza Dallas is often host to millionaires as well as the hip and trendy crowd, but you don’t have to be wealthy to get the VIP treatment here. Every visitor gets the same stellar service, with regulars praising the funky, decadent and whimsical decor.

Think of the Zaza as a luxury hotel with an exciting and offbeat departure from the norm, from room styles to original services for guests. The Dallas Morning News noted that no hotel was hipper than the Zaza – and with good reason.

As soon as you walk up to the front desk, you’ll be greeted with touches of the Orient, including an exotic daybed for guests to wait before checking in and going to their rooms.

Be sure to take in the lobby,  with purple everywhere, accented by rich red curtains. Purple is definitely the main theme in the lobby – even the chandelier is purple.

The Hotel Zaza Dallas is best for romantic getaways as well as impressing business clients. It is also a popular spot for those hosting business parties of 100 or more. After a stay here, you’ll understand why it isn’t uncommon for guests to make annual visits to the Zaza. Many say they never want to leave.

Located near the lushest part of uptown Dallas, the Zaza is within walking distance of all major business areas. Some nearby neighborhoods are pure glam, where the most famous Texans live in gorgeous homes and shop at luxury malls. The notable West Village and Knox Park are also near the hotel.

Museums, shopping and sports attractions are all close by. If you want to eat out, the concierge can suggest restaurants to fit your needs. Lower Greenville is 10 minutes away, along with the Sixth Floor Museum and Northpark Mall. If you’d like, you can use the complimentary car service for any destination within 4 miles of the Zaza.

The Zaza is perfect for getting away from your daily routine, leaving the kids behind and escaping to a place where your every desire is fulfilled. If you don’t like the idea of boarding your pets, however, feel free to bring them along. This is a pet friendly hotel. You do have to pay an additional $50 for pets but this can be far less than boarding costs and you know they are in good hands.

While rooms are definitely on the high end of the price scale, even the least expensive rooms are one of a kind featuring unique decor and luxury amenities. Themes for room decor range from exotic lands to European boutiques.

You can also expect to be surrounded by amenities that make you feel like you’re living your wildest dreams. When it comes to basic rooms, you can choose from the Zaza Superior (384 square feet) to the Premium Balcony room (625 square feet). All rooms have rain forest showers, plush robes, Itailan linens, wireless internet, plasma television and marble bathrooms.

Many rooms also feature original artwork as well as silk and leather accents to dazzle your eyes. The Premium Balcony has an extended parlor area and balcony as well as a garden soaking tub. Since the Zaza Superior starts at $225, it could be well worth the extra money to get the Premium Balcony room for $325 a night, especially with the extra features. But these are just the basic rooms and the Zaza has additional surprises in store when it comes to room selection.

Going way beyond the norm, The Zaza also has a series of Magnificent Seven Suites which are removed from the rest of the hotel area. As with the usual rooms (although nothing is really “usual” at the Zaza), the Magnificent Seven Suites could convince you to be among the regulars who save up for an annual visit just to be in these rooms. They aren’t cheap, starting at $1000 a night but those who experience them say that they never want to leave.

Each of the Magnificent Seven Rooms is like having your own villa, with separate entrance, private bedroom areas, pure opulence at every turn and spacious sitting and dining areas. Whirlpool tubs, private balconies and full kitchens make these rooms complete homes away from home.

Imagine stepping out onto the balcony and having a spectacular view of the Dallas skyline. Business or other guests will be totally impressed if you order room service or even opt to cook your own signature dinner in one of these spaces.

Unique services at the Hotel Zaza Dallas include a butler’s pantry featuring coffee service. Then there is the acclaimed day spa, offering treatments from mini manicures to a romantic couples massage. The 80 minute scrub and massage will make you feel totally pampered. The exercise center is as large as many private fitness clubs.

You won’t want to miss dropping by the in house restaurants which include the Dragonfly as well as The Oasis. Each has special nights where entrees or drinks are discounted so be sure to check with the concierge about the details.

The prime steaks at the Dragonfly are also consistently delicious, prepared with Texas flavorings. In room service offers the same quality menus and is a popular option. If you visit the restaurants, expect to dress in urban chic.

You can also try the Hibiscus restaurant which is only a few miles away.

Ready for that decadent getaway or business trip where you can relax in special rooms during or after finishing work? Then book a room at the Zaza and let your cares drop away. The hotel is located at 2332 Leonard Street and can be reached at (214) 468-8339.
