On the Slick Trax course, a finely polished concrete lets you and up to 10 friends slide down the track and spin wildly through each turn. Try to drive as smoothly as possible to maintain your momentum and edge out your friends at the finish line!
The Turbo Track boasts custom-scale Turbo Cars that have high-torque engines. Satisfy your need for speed and compete against up to 20 of your friends on this course.
For some friendly-family competition, take the kids to Thunder Road – a racetrack made with the kids in mind. While drivers need to by at least 4’6” on this course, younger kids that are at least 3’6” can come along for the ride as a passenger with an adult driver. Race through hairpin turns, double deck elevations and breath-taking twists that will leave the kids begging for more!
And speedy attractions aren’t just confined to the raceway at SpeedZone Dallas. Hit the Fireball! looping coaster and race through the inside of a giant loop. Adrenaline junkies will love the six head-over-heel inversions, forwards and backwards, as you speed over the top upside down.
Take the competition from the raceway to the golf course with Speedway Golf. These two 18-hole, race themed miniature golf courses offer fun for the whole family. Even better, senior citizens, active military, police and firefighters can play for free with valid identification.
Gamers of all ages will enjoy Electric Alley, home to everything from classic arcade games to the latest racing, shoot ‘em up, and sporting video games. And while you’re inside taking a break from the racetrack, be sure to quench your thirst at the SpeedZone Bar, or snack on tasty appetizers, burgers, pizzas and more at the SpeedZone Café.
SpeedZone is also a great location for your next corporate team building event. Are you visiting Dallas for a business conference? Take a break from the PowerPoint presentations and hit the track at SpeedZone, which specializes in group outings of 10 to 200 guests. You’ll have full access to private meeting and banquet rooms, the café and sports bar, on-site catering, and audio/visual equipment. SpeedZone can also customize racing events for team building and competition.
Racing prices start at $7.95 for a single rider and $8.95 for a rider and passenger. For $40, you can enjoy two hours of unlimited racing on the Slick, Turbo and Thunder Road Tracks, unlimited rides on Fire Ball!, unlimited video games and mini-golf, and one racing session on the Top Eliminator Dragster.
For some midweek madness, be sure to visit on “$15 Buck Tuesdays!” where you can also enjoy unlimited video games and miniature golf, all for $15 per person. On weeknights (Sunday to Thursday), hit the tracks for unlimited racing after dark (starting at 6pm) for just $34.95 per person.
Different tracks have different height requirements. If you’re not sure if your children will meet the height requirements, be sure to check to SpeedZone website in advance to avoid disappointment. All drivers of 2-seat karts must be at least 18 years old.
SpeedZone is open Sunday to Thursday from 11am to 11pm, and Fridays and Saturdays from 11am to 1am. Keep in mind that during inclement weather (like those unpredictable summer thunderstorms), SpeedZone may temporarily close or close early with short notice. If weather conditions are questionable, be sure to call ahead to confirm whether the park is open.
SpeedZone is located at 11130 Malibu Drive, just north of downtown Dallas off 35E (take the Walnut Hill Road exit), next to Zero Gravity Thrill Dallas. It’s about a 15 to 20 minute trip from downtown, depending on traffic.
